A message from Troop 3’s Scout Master:

Scouting is far more than camping, hiking, and games. Scouting is also about character, values, and community service. The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) is one of the largest youth organizations in the United States, with 2.7 million youth members and over 1 million adult volunteers. Troop 3 Greenspot offers a wide range of opportunities for boys, age 11-17 in the Redlands-Yucaipa-Highland area of Inland Southern California.

Boy Scout troops vary widely in size, activities, and programs. When looking for a troop to join, it's important to make sure its activities, leaders and overall "feel" are a good match for you. Troop 3’s activities are to designed to meet the near-term and long-term needs of our Scouts. We strive to maintain a balanced program of activities throughout the year to challenge the Scouts both mentally and physically, emphasizing leadership and character development in the Scouting tradition. Our activities include monthly outings (see photos of past trips on our “Links” page), scouting skills competitions, merit badge workshops, and community service projects. If you're new to Scouts and thinking about joining the program, or are currently a Cub Scout looking for a troop to join, please consider joining Troop 3. If you have any questions, or would like to arrange a visit to one of our troop meetings, please use the “Contact Us” link.

Yours in Scouting,
Greg Horter, Scoutmaster
